Shannon founded Three of Cups Social in 2019 in order to create more opportunities for people to get together in person. She is also the Deputy Director at Lifetime Arts, a national arts service organization that aims to enrich the lives of older adults through arts education. Shannon holds a masters in library and information science from Simmons University and edited The Library Effect.

I don’t know much about tarot, but when I found out about the concept behind the Three of Cups card, it’s meaning summed up everything that I aim to generate with this project — a spirit of conviviality and mutual support. Artmaking and other intellectually stimulating socializing are not only fun things to do, but are actually good for us. So, let’s do this.
Most of the events we produce will happen on the North Shore of Boston, with some also likely to occur in the cities and towns that make up the Boston metro area.
